It is vital for organizations investing significant amounts of money in projects to have a full understanding of the qualities needed to make a good project manager.
TPG Academy's profiling tools focus on 2 aspects: Behaviour and Knowledge.
Knowledge profiles
TPG's knowledge assessments cover the full range of tools,
techniques and processes that make up best practice project
and programme management. These can be used in isolation
for the development of knowledge based learning programmes
or in conjunction with the behavioural assessment for more
comprehensive competency development programmes.

Behavioural profiles
TPG's behavioural assessments for project and programme
managers are based on the observed behaviour of both
successful and unsuccessful managers. A structured assessment
process identifies the common behaviours exhibited by
successful managers and these are distilled into a 360o
assessment questionnaire.
Combined assessment
A combined assessment is normally conducted once the
behaviours and knowledge have been mapped against an
organization's role descriptions for different levels of project
and programme staff. The assessment report looks at the
strengths and development needs not only of individuals but
also of teams, departments or entire companies.
